Volkswagen Golf GTI

Golf GTI is a legendary nameplate which made its debut in 1975 and officially launched in 1976 with the MK1 generation, and at that time, it had a top speed of 182 km/h. Up until now, 8 generations of it have launched, and in India we will get the current eighth MK8 generation. This beast with 2.0L TSI EVO makes 241 hp and 370 Nm, and is able to do 0 to 100 km in just 6.0 seconds. The gearbox, which we believe will come to India, will be 7-DSG, although internationally, it is also available in a 6-speed manual.

To add more, this will only be a FWD hatchback not a RWD or AWD, and as per several media reports only 250 units will be brought here first, and upon looking at the demand, more will come. Now, the new shots, reveal the Golf GTI in the reflex silver metallic paint and the alloy wheels are of 18 Inch. Also, the two exhaust pipes situated at the top left and right finished in chrome tip looks sporty. Moreover, internationally, 6 varaints of GTI are available and the only spotted in India is the base variant - S.

Now, when we talked with the Volkswagen dealer to confirm the upcoming cars, the official said that the Golf GTI will launch in the second quarter, so most probably it will be available to the public in May or June.
