Volkswagen redesigned Tiguan and is ready to introduce a facelift version of the Tiguan on December 7. Due to the pandemic there was a delay in its launch. VW has already opened the pre-booking window for the SUV at certain dealerships. Customer needs to pay a sum of Rs 50,000 for the booking.

It's been a long time since VW has introduced updates in its Polo and Vento whereas, the company has decided to first introduce a facelifted version of the Tiguan. It comes with a new overall styling. Tiguans silhouette and stance are similar to the existing model but the upcoming model will get a new front end and will feature an updated facelifted headlamp design with integrated LED DRLs. Apart from the newly designed headlamps the SUV will get newly designed alloy-wheels and LED tail lights.
Volkswagen offers an all-black interior scheme with its Tiguan which remains unchanged in the upcoming model. The interior of the car gives it a premium touch and can easily gauge the quality of materials used. The updated SUV will feature a new instrument cluster, 30-colors ambient lighting, redesigned steering wheel, and touch-based AC controls.
The safety tech of the SUV has also been tweaked a little and now offers traction control, ventilated seats, ESP, hill hold assist, wireless charging, and a panoramic sunroof. Other features available in the existing model will remain unchanged.

The SUV will pack the same engine that is offered with the Tiguan AllSpace. It will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that is capable of producing 188bhp of maximum power and 320 Nm of peak torque mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission as standard.
The SUV is expected to come with the companys 4Motion all-wheel drive system (AWD) that was available in the existing model as well but this latest model will be a petrol offering only. The SUV will compete against the likes of Hyundai Tucson, Citroen C5 Aircross, Jeep Compass, and the Skoda Kodiaq. The expected price for the SUV is around Rs 25-30 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Volkswagen has always tried to maintain its legacy and the SUV is a powerful sporty one. The SUV is already out in the market and the company has a very unique set of customers who have opted for this one as the SUV is not an affordable one for all.
