After the introduction of the Volkswagen Taigun and Volkswagen Virtus in Lava Blue shades, the same has started reaching dealerships. Meanwhile, we already covered the Volkswagen Taigun's Lava Blue edition reaching the dealerships for delivery as well. Similarly, Skoda launched the same color tone as a new edition with the Slavia and Kushaq. The new rich color theme earlier remained only with the premium segments of the company. But now, more economical cars are getting it as well.
Let's check out the pictures of the same.
Volkswagen Virtus Lava Blue Edition
The already charming looks are now being wrapped in a new shiny Lava Blue color tone. It is offered in both the 1.0-liter turbo and 1.5-liter petrol mill as well. Unlike Skoda's blue paint job, which launched as a different edition, this one is offered as a regular color choice. It does not share any resemblance with the 'Rising Blue' color of Virtus which is already on sale. This one feels much more premium.
The only difference is the new color tone, everything else remains exactly the same. Also, unlike Skoda, which paired the Lava Blue Edition with a 1.5-liter turbo only, Virtus offers this new color across all engine options. Both the 1.0 and the 1.5-liter petrol engines.
Powertrain
Virtus is currently on sale with 2 engine options. The 1.0-liter turbo petrol churns out 115 PS with 178 Nm of torque. it comes mated to a 6-speed Manual transmission. On the other hand, 1.5-liter petrol delivers a power figure of 150 PS with a peak torque of 250 Nm. This unit is mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
Volkswagen Virtus Price
Since the Virtus Lava Blue exterior color is just a regular paint option on offer with all variants and both engine options, the price of the Volkswagen sedan remains the same and between Rs 11.48 lakh to Rs 18.57 lakh ex-showroom
VERDICT - Volkswagen Virtus already enjoys a loyalist fanbase. Its elegant looks feature up to date, and a peppy engine already hits the right chords. With German origin, performance is synonymous, and it definitely doesn't disappoint. Plus, offering the new pant theme as a regular color option at no extra premium is a commendable move by the German automaker.
