Volkswagen India has introduced exciting additions to its Virtus sedan lineup with the launch of a new variant and a special edition. The Virtus GT Plus now offers a 1.5-liter manual transmission option, while the new Edge edition has been included in the Virtus GT line. Customers can exclusively book the Edge editions through the brand's official website, and manufacturing will be based on customer orders. Deliveries of these variants are scheduled to commence from July onwards.

Volkswagen Virtus Edge Special Edition
The GT Edge Limited Collection consists of the Virtus GT Plus DSG and GT Plus manual variants, both available in a striking Deep Black Pearl exterior body color. While the exterior and interior details of these sedan models remain similar to the other GT variants, the GT Edge Limited Collection stands out with its exclusive color option.
Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus Manual
Previously, the Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus was exclusively offered with a 7-speed DSG transmission. However, with the recent launch of the manual transmission option, customers now have the choice to purchase the GT Plus variant with a 6-speed manual transmission. Powering the GT Plus variant is a robust 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that delivers an impressive output of 147.5 bhp of power and 250 Nm of peak torque.

Volkswagen Taigun Variant Update
In addition to the Virtus GT Plus lineup, Volkswagen has introduced new updates to the Taigun GT Plus and GT line variants. The Taigun GT Plus now includes a manual transmission variant, available at a price of Rs 17.79 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Taigun GT line offers a DSG transmission variant priced at Rs 16.69 lakh (ex-showroom). These updates provide customers with more options and flexibility when choosing their preferred Taigun model.
The brand has also unveiled the Taigun Edge Special Edition, available in captivating Deep Black Pearl and Carbon Steel Grey Matte colors. The Taigun Edge edition is priced between Rs 17.99 lakh and Rs 19.25 lakh (ex-showroom), offering customers a premium and distinctive variant to choose from.
