VW sells the Tiguan in one variant, Elegance and it is priced at Rs 32.79 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. VW Tiguan targets the buyers of Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass and even the Citroen C5 Aircross.
Mechanically, Tiguan loses an edge over its rivals as it is offered with a petrol motor only. This 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine produces 187 bhp of power with a peak torque of 320 Nm. Yes, when compared with Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Compass petrol motor, it is quite powerful.

This engine gets mated to a 7-speed DSG unit and also gets paddle shifters as well as a Sports mode. The ARAI-certified mileage of the Tiguan sticks to 12.6 kmpl which is quite impressive for an SUV of this size. And knowing it is a petrol model.
Feature-wise, the Tiguan gets loaded up to the brim. It gets a panoramic sunroof, touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, tri-zone climate control, auto IRVM, cruise control, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights and more.
