VW recently unveiled their upcoming sedan, Virtus and boy, it garnered a lot of attention. Even before its official launch, several renders of the car with aftermarket alloys, lowered stance started floating on the internet and what the enthusiasts were excited was how bold and sporty the 1.5L version looked.
Also known as the performance line variant, the 1.5L version generates as much as 148 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 250 Nm. New reports now suggest that this unit will be mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission only. The other engine option is the smaller, 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol motor. This unit generates as much as 114 bhp of power on tap with a maximum torque of 178 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard and also gets an optional 6-speed torque converter.
