Mahindra has finally announced the prices for its first truly electric SUV. The XUV400 Electric was first revealed on 8th September 2022 by the Indian SUV maker. The XUV400 Electric is the first product to come under the brand's new electric vehicle strategy for the country. The electric SUV has been priced between Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 18.99 lakh (Ex-Showroom). XUV400 is set to give direct and tough competition to the current market leader Tata Nexon EV/EV Max. Mahindra has launched the XUV400 with two battery pack options i.e. a 34.5 kWh battery pack and a 39.4 kWh battery pack with a certified MIDC range of 375km and 456km respectively. The two variants have been named EC & EL. Here's all the difference between the two.
XUV400 Powertrain:
Though Mahindra has given the buyers two battery pack options i.e. a 34.5kWh and a 39.4kWH, the electric motor on both variants remains the same. The electric motor on both the variants of XUV400 produces 110kW (150PS) of power and 310 Nm of torque. The electric motor can propel the SUV from 0 to 100 kmph in just 8.3 seconds with a top speed of 150 kmph.

The EL variant includes all the safety features of the EC variant and gets more features like 6 airbags, and a reverse camera with dynamic guidelines.
