Yamaha India today launched a new variant of its popular 125cc scooter Fascino. Badged Yamaha Fascino 125 S, the new model gets a new connected feature called 'Answer Back'. Yamaha Fascino 125 S Details - What's New?
The new variant addition of the Fascino has brought an additional connected tech. The S model comes with 'Answer Back' feature that helps in locating the scooter in a crowded parking space. To use this, the owners need to install the 'Yamaha Scooter Answer Back' application. This app is available for Android as well as iOS users via their individual downloading platforms. Once installed, the user can identify their scooter by pressing the 'answer back' button inside the app. This button further activates the indicators and horn for two seconds. Via this, the user can easily identify or locate their scooter in a crowded space.
Yamaha is offering the Fascino S model in three vibrant colours. These include - Dark Matte Blue, Matte Black, & Matte Red. The pricing of these colours is different. Where the Matter Black/Red colours are available at just Rs 93,730; the Dark Matte Blue is sold at Rs 94,530. These prices are ex-showroom, Delhi and may vary depending on the on-road charges per state.
Mechanically, Yamaha has not changed anything on the Fascino S. It uses the same 125cc FI engine as the standard version. This engine comes mated to a silent starter motor. This hybrid tech helps in pushing the scooter from a standstill, thus, saving fuel and offering a quick performance. The main rivals of the Fascino 125 S in India are the Suzuki Access 125 and Honda Activa 125.

Verdict
While the Fascino might not be the best-selling scooter in its segment, it surely enjoys a considerable market share. There are niche market areas like Goa, where the Fascino is popular. The new updates are to keep the brand afresh and give the consumers a touch of tech.
