Tata Curvv EV: Variants And Battery Specs
The Tata Curvv EV offers two battery options: a 45kWh pack for the Creative, Accomplished, and Accomplished+ trims, and a 55kWh pack for the Accomplished, Accomplished+ S, Empowered+, and Empowered+ A trims. The 45kWh battery provides an MIDC range of 502km, while the 55kWh battery extends the range to 585km on a single charge. Tata's C75 testing standard, which is how the real-world range will closely resemble, estimates the long-range model can achieve 400-425km per charge, and the 45kWh variant can cover 330-350km. Tata claims that the battery can be charged to provide up to 150km of range in just 15 minutes and reach 10-80 percent charge in 40 minutes using a 70kW charger.
The 55kWh versions of the Curvv EV are equipped with a 167hp electric motor on the front axle, while the 45kWh models have a 150hp motor; both deliver 215Nm of torque. The 55kWh variant can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in approximately 8.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 160 kph. In contrast, the 45kWh model achieves 0-100 kph in about 9 seconds.

Variant Recommendation: If you are running a little tight on budget, you can pick up the base trim, Creative as well, as it is a pretty loaded affair when compared to some current market-hit SUVs. However, the Accomplished+ S offers excellent value for money with a balanced set of prices and features, but you will miss out on high-end loadings like Lvl-2 ADAS, powered tailgate with gesture activation, ventilated seats, and more. If money is not an issue, the higher variants open up an even richer experience with India's first affordable SUV Coupe.
Verdict
Launching of the first Coupe SUV in Indian mass market segment has stirred up the rivals as the ICE variant of Curvv is set to launch next month. Going by the current hype that the Curvv enjoys, the traditional SUVs are set to witness a highly contested battlefield with new buyers getting a much desired body style, now within the mass reach.
