Tata Motors has once again done the incredible as they delivered 101 Tata Nexon EV and Tigor EV to customers in a single day. There were 70 Nexon electric SUVs and 31 Tigor electric sedans that were delivered at an event held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
At present, both the EVs are one of the best selling models in the country. The Nexon EV is one of the most liked and affordable electric SUV in India. Similarly, the Tigor EV suffice the needs of consumers who have a tighter budget but want to switch to an EV with a decent range.
Sharing the specs of the Tata Nexon EV then it gets a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The power figures stick to 127 bhp on tap with a peak torque of 245 Nm. It takes 8.5 hours to fully juice up the battery of Nexon EV and with the help of a DC fast charger, it takes less than 60 minutes only.

Tata Motors is also planning to launch the updated Nexon EV which will get a bigger battery pack and an improved driving range. Along with this, safety features too on this SUV are to be improved. We can expect electronic stability control, all-wheel disc brakes and others.
On the other hand, Tata Tigor EV gets a smaller, 26 kWh battery pack and it generates 74 bhp of power with 170 Nm of healthy torque. The ARAI certified driving range of this electric sedan sticks to 306 km and it takes 8 hours and 45 minutes to fully charge the battery.
