Toyota Fortuner is now a decade old SUV in the Indian market and with every generation, it has only improved. Sure, people complain about modern features like drive modes, panoramic sunroof, LED lights and more but then nothing beats the reliability and 4x4 capability of this car. Still, the design of the earlier versions now looks dated and few people like to modify their first-gen Fortuners. Here we have a Type 1 Toyota Fortuner modified into Type 2 and the entire modifications have been done in only Rs 1.25 lakh! Sharing more details then this is a 2010 Toyota Fortuner and has been modified/converted into its facelift version. Finished in pearl white shade, it features several cosmetic changes! Right from the bumper designs to the fenders and wheel arch, everything is changed!
At the front, do notice the Type 2 headlights and the new bumper design. The foglight housing is also new and it gets similar bonnet scoop. Paras from Streetsliders, the person responsible for this modification also tells us that this one also gets new bonnet cladding for better NVH levels.

Just like the front, the side profile is also changed and you can see the Type 2 alloy wheel design. These six-spoke alloy wheels now get a gloss black shade and look just like the ones found in the original one. The door handles and the ORVMs gets chrome treatment. Please note, the alloy wheels cost of Rs 30000 is exclusive of this whole modification.
Coming to the rear profile then it gets a Type 2 bumper design along with LED reflectors. This one also receives an aftermarket set of taillights that look better than the original. The chrome lip at the bootlid gets Fortuner badging just like found in the original one. And it also gets TRD spoiler.

Along with these cosmetic modifications, this modified Toyota Fortuner also gets HID kits in the headlights for that extra illumination. Some parts of the SUV are repainted and are repaired too. Right from interior cleaning to the rubbing and polishing of the exterior paint, this SUV has seen it all. The car is exceptionally well done and the results are top-notch.
Coming to the mechanicals then there is nothing changed under the hood. It retains the same 3.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine which makes 171 bhp with 343 Nm of peak torque.
