Both the 2020 Datsun Go and Go Plus will be available in a total of five variants - D, A, A(O), T and T (O). The Go Plus is a 7-seater variant of the Go and it is also bigger in dimensions as compared to the Go. The engine here will be a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine which will churn out 68 Ps and 104 Nm at 4000 rpm with the 5-speed manual and 77 Ps and 104 Nm at 4400 rpm with the CVT transmission. The engine and CVT combination had been taken from the Nissan Micra CVT when Datsun launched these cars last year. The fuel efficiency of both the BS6 Go and Go Plus is rated at 19.04 km/l for the manual and 19.59 km/l for the CVT.
The Datsun Go and Go Plus were called as the most affordable cars to offer an option of CVT. The updated cars will be feature-packed too including 7-inch touchscreen system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, electrically adjustable ORVMs, speed sensing auto door lock, pedestrian protection norms compliance, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), ABS with EBD, dual airbags, daytime running lights, 14-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels etc. All these features were not offered before and that was also the reason for the low sales of Go and Go Plus. The prices of the Go is expected to range from Rs 3.8 lakh to 6.5 lakhs ex-showroom. The Go Plus is expected to be priced from Rs 4.2 lakhs to 6.99 lakhs ex-showroom.

Datsun is sacrificing in the Indian market since their debut and they haven't received a great response from the market. Their strategy to launch affordable cars with limited features didn't win the customer's sentiments and failed miserably. Although these cars were decently priced even after the update, the market had better alternatives to look after. Datsun is playing its last innings with the updated Redi-go which can give some traction to brand to stabilize itself. Rumours also suggest that the Redi-go facelift will be the last offering in India from the Datsun brand as the brand is planning to pack up its operations in India.
