The 2020 Hyundai Elite i20 is one of the most awaited hatchbacks in India right now. And as we've seen several spy shots and clear videos as to how the car looks, everyday new information about the upcoming hatchback flourishes in. Sharing more details on the safety features of the 2020 Hyundai Elite i20 then it will continue with the stricter ABS with EBD, multiple airbags, rear parking sensors, high-speed alert system and more. The video covered below gives us an idea of the advanced safety features the next-gen i20 packs.
For starters, it'll get Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist function. It basically senses the pedestrians or cyclists and alerts the driver for any of the potential collisions. If the driver is slow to respond to the alerts then the FCA takes care of it and applies the brake.
Another advanced safety feature is the Leading Vehicle Departure Alert. It basically alerts the driver when the stopped vehicle in front of them is in motion. Basically, helps in traffic conditions when drivers get distracted by sightseeing or have a chit chat with their co-passengers.
Infotainment System
This other video shows the new-age style 10.25-inch large infotainment system which is also the largest in its segment. This unit supports various connected technologies like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, signature BlueLink Technology, Cloud-based recognition system and more. It'll also get Bose premium sound system but that'll be an optional choice. The car will also be offered with wireless charging as one of the features.

Now, sharing other details of the upcoming Hyundai Elite i20 then it'll come with updated engines. The new 1.5L diesel will be sourced in from the Creta but will be provided in a de-tuned state. We expect the power figures to stick with 99 bhp and 240 Nm of torque. That's an increase of 10 bhp and 20 Nm of torque from the discontinued 1.4L unit.
Coming to the petrol then it is expected to use the same 1.2L BS6 compliant engine which produces 82 bhp with 114 Nm of torque. It gets a 5-speed manual gearbox. It is not clear whether the carmaker will introduce automatic with this unit or bring a detuned version of the 1.5L unit.
