2020 Hyundai Creta is a success even before its launch as the bookings for the same has crossed to more than 10,000+ units. Also, at Rs 25,000 one can book the all-new Hyundai Creta for themselves and the SUV will be launched on March 17, 2020.
Sharing more details on the new-gen Hyundai Creta then it will sport new exterior and interior design overall along with new features to the list. Features like two-step rear reclining seat, D-cut steering wheel, leatherette upholstery, ambient lighting are some of which the SUV receives.
Under the hood, the Creta is offered in three engine options, all in BS6 disguise. These engines are borrowed from the Kia Seltos, the mid-size SUV which is a crowd puller for the Indian market. It'll be interesting to see these two SUVs lock horn as the new entrant has been eating up Creta sales for a while now.

New Creta will pack two petrol and one diesel engine - the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol makes 115 bhp, the same as the 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine. The 1.4L turbo petrol engine makes 140 bhp on tap and is the fastest on paper.
Transmission wise, the 1.5L petrol and diesel get a 6-speed manual along with CVT and 6-speed AT respectively. the turbo petrol continues with 7-speed DCT gearbox. Despite being offered with the same set of engines, Creta offers a better ARAI certified fuel efficiency than the Seltos.
Some more features on the Creta include a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also comes with connected feature technology, which Hyundai also calls it BlueLink technology. It is seen with the Venue and Elantra.

Also, a large panoramic sunroof is in the list and the top-spec SX(O) trim of the turbo petrol Creta will receive all-black interiors with red stitching. The pattern is similar to the one used in the Nios and Aura Turbo. The higher trim also gets a fully digital instrument cluster, front ventilated seat, electrically adjustable driver's seat and among others.
As far as the pricing for the Creta goes then we expect it to stick around Rs 10 lakh and goes upwards till Rs 16 lakh. All prices remain to ex-showroom, Delhi. Once launched, the SUV will compete with the likes of Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Nissan Kicks, Renault Captur and Mahindra XUV500.
