The launch of the new-generation 2020 Hyundai i20 is now just around the corner. Hitherto, the new-generation i20 has been spied in India multiple times while on the test. We already have a rough idea that how the new i20 is gonna look like and also what will be its engine specifications and the features on offer. But now, the new-gen 2020 Hyundai i20 has been spied at a dealership hinting its imminent launch. The images of the spied car are all over the internet and the images you see here are the unveiled images.
The upcoming 2020 Hyundai i20 has been spied at a dealership yard. While the front and the rear bumpers of the car are still under covers, we know how they will look like. At the front, the new-gen i20 will get Hyundai's signature cascading grille along with all-LED headlamps and daytime-running LEDs. The premium hatch will also get new sporty bumpers.
Moving to the side profile, we can see it gets new diamond-cut alloy wheels, aerodynamic rear-view mirrors and also a thin chrome strip runs along the bottom half of the window line. At the rear, again it gets sporty bumpers, a rear-wiper, high mounted stop lamp, LED taillights, shark-fin antenna and an integrated roof-mounted spoiler. Also, the new i20 will get an electric sunroof.
Now, coming to the inside, so just like its flashy exterior, the new i20 will get an opulent interior too. The steering wheel of the car resembles the one we get on the new Creta and in the Sport trim of Hyundai Venue. The new-gen i20 will get an all-digital instrument cluster just like the new Verna Facelift and also, it will get a freestanding touchscreen infotainment system.
As you can see in these pictures, the screen looks quite large and we believe it is a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, like the one we get in the Kia Sonet and Seltos. It will get connectivity features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with Hyundai's BlueLink connected car technology. We can also see an auto-dimming IRVM and overall, it looks really good.

The upcoming new-gen Hyundai i20 will also get rear AC vents and a host of other features. Talking about the engine specifications, the new Hyundai i20 will get three BS6-compliant engines. It will be getting a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that will churn out 83 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque and will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and an IVT (CVT).
Next, we will have a 1.5-litre diesel engine that will churn out 100 PS of power and 240 Nm of peak torque and will come mated only to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Finally, we will also have a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This turbo petrol motor will churn out 100 or 120 PS of power and 172 Nm of peak torque. It will come mated to a 6-speed iMT (intelligent Manual Transmission) and a 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission).

Talking about the launch timeline, the new-generation 2020 Hyundai i20 is expected to be launched in India by the end of this month or by the first week of November. The unofficial bookings are already open for the car. It is expected to be priced in the ballpark of Rs. 5.50 lakhs Rs. 9.50 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
