The Tata Tiago is offered as one of the safest cars in the segment and features a great looking design and segment-leading build quality. The brand has recently launched the 2020 Tata Tiago BS6 with updated engines, refreshed styling, and a better features list. How good is the car post the update? Exterior Looks and Design
The new 2020 Tata Tiago BS6 gets a sharp design with an attractive front. The front grille looks more dominating and the headlamps complement the overall look. The side profile of the car looks largely similar but the new alloy wheel design has impressed each one of us. The rear however continues to look subtle and features an elegant bumper design.

Interiors
The interiors of the new Tiago are nicely laid out and look good. While there are plenty of features inside the cabin, we would have appreciated better fit and finish levels. The three-spoke steering wheels get audio controls and other buttons while the seats at the front and at the rear are comfortable and supportive. Apart from this, there are enough storage spaces and the buttons too are of high quality.
Engine and Gearbox
The 2020 Tata Tiago BS6 is now powered by a 1.2-L Revotron petrol engine. this 3-cylinder engine churns out 86 ps and 113 Nm of peak torque output. A -speed manual gearbox comes as standard with this engine while the buyers can also have an optional 5-Speed AMT gearbox. The same engine is also seen on the Tigor and has impressed us with its supreme low-end torque and decent refinement levels.
Features
Talking about the features, we are happy to report that the new Tiago comes with a loaded cabin with almost all the bells and whistles one can expect in this segment. Apart from a large touchscreen infotainment system, the car also features an 8-speaker sound setup, voice command, auto climate control, in addition to other important features such as power windows, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, etc. In terms of safety, the new 2020 Tata Tiago gets dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, front seat belt reminder system, etc.

Price and Rivals
With rivals such as the Hyundai Santro, Maruti WagonR, Maruti Celerio, Renault Kwid, and more, the Tata Tiago faces a lot of competition in the segment. However, it is one of the safest and best-built cars. The starting price of this car is Rs 4.69 lakh for the base variant.
