Force Motors has finally unveiled the 2021 Force Gurkha that will go on sale around the advent of the upcoming festive season. Prices of the SUV will be revealed on 27th Sep 2021, while its deliveries will commence on Dusshera (15th Oct 2021).
The new Force Gurkha made its first appearance at the 2020 Auto Expo, but its launch has faced several delays owing to the pandemic. The upcoming Gurkha has been spotted testing on roads, and it is now officially revealed. Force Gurkha has a timeless appeal and even reminds one of the legendary Mercedes G-Wagon.

The second-generation 2021 Force Gurkha features a 2.6-litre diesel engine with a maximum power of 89 bhp and a peak torque of 250 Nm. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed Mercedes G-28 transmission with a cable shift mechanism. The hydraulically activated clutch with the booster ensures effortless gear changes.
2021 Force Gurkha offers front and rear locking differentials along with best-in-class manoeuvrability with the shortest-in-segment turning circle radius of 5.65 m. The SUV continues to ride on independent double-wishbone suspensions at the front and a rigid axle at the rear, with coil springs all around. With its launch, it will directly compete with Mahindra Thar.

Force has installed air intake snorkels that give Gurkha an unmatched water-wading ability. The new model even features a higher level of safety equipment than its predecessor. One fascinating add-on to the Force Gurkha is its LED Pro Edge headlamps with full LED high beam and low beam to ensure complete visibility, especially during night adventures.

Force has even updated the seating layout and the Gurkha now comes equipped with front-facing rear seats that offer good legroom, headroom, and elbow room. The SUV also offers a boot space of 500 litres. The interior sport an all-black colour theme and taking centre stage on the dashboard is a touchscreen infotainment unit that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The cabin also offers smartphone-charging ports for every passenger, a steering column with tilt and telescopic adjustment, power windows, central locking, speed-sensing door locks, rear parking sensors, a single-piece rear door with a wiper, variable intermittent speed front wipers, tyre pressure monitoring system and cornering lamps.
