Hyundai Motor Company has officially teased the new 2021 Hyundai Kona and Kona N-Line SUV. The South Korean Giant carmaker has released some official sketches which give us a hint as to how the new SUV would look like. Also, it is worth mentioning that for the first time in history, the Kona SUV will be introduced in the performance-oriented N-Line avatar. Here are some more details about these new Kona SUVs.
These new upcoming SUVs are based on Hyundai's new design philosophy. According to the carmaker, the new Kona will express Hyundai's Sensuous Sportiness global design identity. Going by the teaser images, one can see that the new Kona will get Hyundai's signature cascading grille. The grille looks very prominent, just like we saw in the new-gen Elantra. Also, it will get a wider stance and a shark-inspired nose that will give it a sleeker look. The SUV's headlamp is positioned on the bumper while the upgraded high-tech DRLs are positioned above. It will also get a front skid plate and the sporty bumper and other elements will add to its armoured appearance.
Like we said before, Hyundai has officially confirmed that the sportier N-Line version of the new Kona will also be launched in the international markets. The N-Line version of the new Kona will get a more aerodynamic design language. The air intakes of the SUV will be low-set and it will also get a more aggressive front bumper. The sporty bumper of the car will be complemented by corner fins and lean crease lines. Hyundai says that the N-Line model of the Kona will offer an attractive entry point to the N Brand. This hints that the Kona N-Line will be priced very aggressively to expand the Kona's appeal to a wide range of buyers.

Currently, the Hyundai Kona gets multiple engines in the global markets including a 1.6-litre T-GDI petrol engine. This turbocharged petrol motor churns out 177 PS of power and 265 Nm of torque. Most likely the new Kona will get the same engine with identical power and torque figures. The Kona N-Line will also be powered by the same mill but it will be tuned to produce around 200 PS of power. More details about these new Kona SUVs will be revealed soon and it will be launched in South Korea in the coming months.

Talking about the India launch details, so the petrol version of the Hyundai Kona might be launched in India in 2021. However, we do not expect the launch of the N-Line version in our country.
