Jeep has today finally unveiled the new 2021 Jeep Compass Facelift BS6 in the Indian market. The Jeep Compass is a very popular mid-size SUV in the country. Exterior Changes and Design Highlights
If you remember, just a few weeks ago, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) unveiled the new Jeep Compass Facelift at the Guangzhou International Motor Show in China and now it has finally arrived in India! Talking about the changes in the new Compass Facelift, so on the outside, it gets a minor nip and tuck to enhance its aesthetic appeal. At the front, the new facelifted Compass gets a re-designed signature seven-slat grille of Jeep with blacked-out inserts and subtle chrome accents. The SUV gets some minor tweaks on the front bumper, there are new re-designed headlamps with LED DRLs and new re-positioned LED fog lamps too. The side profile of the new facelifted Jeep Compass sports newly designed alloy wheels. At the rear, it doesn't get any significant changes but there are LED taillights, and it gets a new green colour shade too. All in all, it looks fresher and more appealing than before.

Interior Changes and New Features
The interiors of the new 2021 Jeep Compass Facelift have got a significant upgrade. It gets an all-new cabin with premium inserts. Taking the centre stage of the dashboard of the SUV is an all-new large 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This touchscreen system gets Jeep's latest UConnect 5 software and is compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay even in the wireless format. It also gets an all-new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a new steering wheel, re-designed switch gears and Jeep also says that there are more cubby spaces in the car now. Some other features of the new Jeep Compass Facelift include an 8-way power-adjustable ventilated front seats with memory function, a large panoramic sunroof, new all-LED headlights, connected car technology, powered tailgate, and many more. The safety features of the new 2021 Jeep Compass Facelift include upto six airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, hill hold and hill descent control, traction control, ESC, hill-start assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, electronic stability control, brake lock differential, 360-degree parking camera, etc.
Engine and Transmission Options
Now, talking about the engine options, so the mechanicals of the new 2021 Jeep Compass Facelift remains completely identical to the pre-lift model. This means that the new facelifted Jeep Compass will be powered by the same BS6-compliant 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This turbo petrol motor will churn out 163 PS of maximum power at 3750 RPM and 250 Nm of peak torque between 1750-2500 RPM. This engine will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). Like before, it will also get a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre multi-jet diesel engine. This diesel motor will churn out 170 PS of maximum power at 3750 RPM and 350 Nm of peak torque between 1750-2500 RPM. The engine will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and also a 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The top-spec diesel variants of the Compass Facelift will get the SelecTerrain 4x4 system too for better off-road capabilities.

Launch Timeline, Price Expectation and Rivals
Finally, we will be talking about the launch timeline and price expectations. So, the company has today unveiled the all-new 2021 Jeep Compass Facelift BS6 in India and the bookings for the same are now open online and at all Jeep dealerships located across the country. The carmaker has stated that the dealer dispatches will begin soon and the test drives will commence by the end of this month. So, we believe the Compass Facelift will be launched in India by the end of this month or by early next month. The new Compass Facelift is expected to be priced between Rs. 16.99 lakhs - Rs. 25.99 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. Upon launch, it will rival against the Tata Harrier, new MG Hector Facelift, Mahindra XUV500, new-gen Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, etc.
