We all know that Mahindra has been working on the next generation of the XUV500 and Scorpio. We recently saw the launch of the Thar which got success straight off the bed. Mahindra is expecting the same with the next-gen XUV500 and Scorpio. According to a new media report, Mahindra is expected to call the 2021 Scorpio as "Scorpio Sting". The 2021 Mahindra Scorpio Sting will be priced at a premium as the current model will remain on sale.
Mahindra will pack in a lot of good stuff in the next-generation models of the Scorpio and XUV500. We saw huge improvements with the Thar and in typical fashion, XUV500 and Scorpio will be updated. The new-age SUVs will define the Indian UV maker and the perceived quality will take a big leap when compared to current models.

The 2021 Mahindra Scorpio Sting will get all-new styling with a new set of features. The new XUV500 and Scorpio will share their powertrains with the Thar which are the 2.0-litre diesel and turbo petrol engines. The engines will be the same as the Thar but the tune of power and torque will be different in both the SUVs. The 2.0-litre mStallion will produce as high as 190hp in the XUV500 whereas the Scorpio may get the same 130hp tune we get in the Thar.
Moreover, the new Scorpio will come with features loaded to the brim. The new model is expected to carry features like the new touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, electric sunroof, cruise control, automatic climate control, automatic headlights and wipers among other nifty features. Unlike now, the new Scorpio may also offer four-wheel-drive drivetrain over the standard RWD layout. Talking about the pricing, the new Scorpio will gain more price in line with new features. The current model is said to remain on sale for some course of time even after the new-gen model arrives.
