Powerful Engine
With the Legender being top of the line variant for the new Fortuner, several upgrades are expected starting from under the hood. It will be powered by the same 2.8-litre BS6 compliant turbocharged diesel engine, however, the power and torque figures will be upgraded.

This new unit will generate as much as 202 bhp with a peak torque of 500 Nm. To give you a hint about what the rivals make then Ford Endeavour makes 168 bhp with 420 Nm of peak torque from the 2.0L engine while the MG Gloster makes 213 bhp with 480 Nm of peak torque from the twin-turbo 2.0L diesel. The single-turbo of the Gloster generates 161 bhp with 375 Nm of peak torque.
Updated Exteriors Styling
It is true that the Fortuner will also receive a mild facelift, the Legender is a different version altogether. The 4x4 SUV will now receive a sharper front design with a new grille, redesigned bumper, large intake area around the bumper and the pleasing fog lights.
It also receives all-LED headlights which significantly improves the look of the SUV. At the side, you see 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels which and there are visible changes to the rear bumper as well. Few blacked-out elements along with contrast black roof will also be visible. Overall, the Legender truly looks legendary.
New Interiors
The interiors of the upcoming 2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender does not speak volume like the exteriors but it pretty much does the job. You get the similar dashboard layout as in the pre-lift version but now we expect the interiors will be finished in a new two-tone finish.

Features
It still doesn't receive the big panoramic sunroof but it surely adds to other features. Now with the Legender edition, you get a 360-degree camera, 9-speaker JBL audio system, ambient lighting and more such features. The highlight is the new and larger 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system which will host modern connectivity like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Several reports also suggest that the Legender edition will also be equipped with radar-based cruise control, lane departure warning system and wheel orientation sensor for off-roading.
Pricing
While the regular Fortuner sits at Rs 34.46 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi for the top-spec variant, we believe the Legender edition will cross the Rs 40 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi mark.
