BMW has launched their most popular Sports Activity Vehicle, the X3 in India. It is available in two petrol variants, both of which have reached all dealerships.
BMW has launched the updated version of their most popular Sports Activity Vehicle, the X3 in India. The 2022 X3 features a refreshed exterior design, and the interior will get the latest BMW 7th generation infotainment operating system.
The 2022 X3 will be available in two petrol variants, and prices start from Rs. 59,90,000 with the base X3 xDrive30i SportX Plus; and Rs. 65,90,000, with the top-spec X3 xDrive30i M Sport. BMW also plans to launch diesel variants of the same later this year.
Both the petrol variants feature BMWs TwinTurbo technology. The 2.0-litre inline-4 engine under its hood produces 252 hp and 350 Nm of torque between 1,450rpm-4,800rpm. It can do 0-100 km/hr in 6 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 235 km/h.
The engine comes mated to an 8-speed automatic Steptronic transmission system, with paddle shifters. And for comfortable ride quality, the X3 equips adaptive suspensions, alongside cruise control with braking functions, automated differential brakes with electric differential locks as standard, and BMW Performance Control, which increases the stability of the car.
The updated exterior of the 2022 X3 features a new front apron with the kidney-grille redesigned with a single-piece frame. The headlight also looks flatter, and it further equips adaptive LED lights, with Matrix function. The rear lights are also LED units, and with black borders and free-flowing tailpipes, look quite sporty and evolved than before.
With the optional M Sport package, BMW further upgrades the front fascia with larger air vents and sportier rear bumpers with a diffuser finished in dark shadow.
The interior of the 2022 X3 SAV has more or less remained the same. Features like the multi-function sport steering wheel, and the electrical seat adjustment with memory function, ambient lighting, and 3-zone automatic climate control have remained the same. The available M Sport Package will further get you sport seats, Sensatec perforated upholstery, M leather steering wheel with multifunction buttons, Panoramic sunroof, Welcome Light Carpet, and a performance-oriented ambience.
But one of the key upgrades inside the 2022 X3 has to be with BMWs latest infotainment system. The Bavarian company also claims that the spread of driver assistance systems is more than ever in the X3. Aside from the BMW gesture control and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, theres also 3D navigation (that is displayed on the 12.3 instrument cluster), Parking Assistance Plus with a 360-degree camera, along with a 464 W 16-speaker Harmon Kardon Sound System.
Safety-wise, the X3 continues to be available with 6 airbags, attentiveness assistance, dynamic stability control with cornering brakes, electric brake with auto hold, an electric vehicle immobiliser with crash sensors, and ISOFIX child seat mountings.
