The 2022 Kia Carens roll out of the company Anantpur facility, amidst record bookings of 7,738 units already. The MPV is slated for launch this February.
The 2022 Kia Carens is the company's first Made in India product built at its Anantpur facility in Andhra Pradesh. The same will also export the Carens to over 80 countries. Based on the same K2 platform, that also underpins the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Alcazar, the Carens stands out with its unique front fascia and equipment list. The front section looks like a proper sporty SUV, but from the side, the multi-people carrier with bigger second-row doors makes it familial.

When customers think of a Kia, they expect best-in-class features, distinct design identity, and unmatched ownership experience which is truly reflected in the Carens.

Mechanically, the Carens is powered by the same engine options also found with the Seltos. Theres the 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol unit that produces 138 bhp and 242 Nm of torque; whereas, the 1.5-liter N.A. engine produces 113 bhp and 144 Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission option.
Feature-wise, Kias new MPV stands out with its one-switch seat-fold for third-row ingress. However, it misses out on a panoramic sunroof that is available with the Hyundai Creta.
