Maruti Suzuki recently revealed the new 2022 Maruti Baleno via the official teaser, thus indicating a launch soon.
The 2022 Maruti Baleno will soon be introduced in the country right now and the brand recently revealed a lot of details about this upcoming premium hatchback. The bookings of the new Baleno too commenced online and at the authorised Nexa dealerships. In addition to this, a lot of other details too surfaced online including the colour options, specs, variants and more.
For starters, the new Baleno comes with an updated design that gives it an updated front fascia and revised rear styling. The headlights are new and look better than before while the front grille now sees a major update. Likewise, the rear lights too get a revised design and all these changes come together to give make Baleno look much better than before. If reports are to be believed, Maruti is also making strong efforts to make the Baleno safer when compared to the present iterations of the vehicle.

In addition to this, it is worth noting that Maruti will be offering six metallic exterior colour options with the Baleno - Pearl Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey, Celestial Blue, Opulent Red, and Luxe Beige. Furthermore, there will be seven Maruti Baleno variants on offer - Sigma Petrol, Delta Petrol, Zeta Petrol, Alpha Petrol, Delta Petrol AT, Zeta Petrol AT, and Alpha Petrol AT. While there will be no petrol engine on offer, Maruti is also expected to replace the CVT gearbox to give way to AMT transmission in the automatic variants.
The present 1.2-L petrol engine is likely to be carried forward with the new Baleno. The current Baleno gets two iterations of this engine - VVT and Dualjet with 12v mild-hybrid. The peak power output from these engines stands at 82 bhp and 89 bhp respectively.
