Maruti has finally launched the much-awaited Grand Vitara in the Indian market and it is the hybrid version that is the talking point. An ARAI-certified mileage of 27.97 kmpl is not only segment-first but also exceptionally good for an SUV this size. In addition to this, the Hybrid version of the Grand Vitara is more expensive than its identical twin, Toyota Hyryder. Maruti Grand-Vitara-Interior

The Pristine Accessory Pack offered by Maruti Suzuki for Grand Vitara costs Rs 67,000 and is inclusive of the price. This Pristine Pack comprises -

5 years/ 1 lakh km extended warranty
Door sill guard
All-Weather 3D mats
Nexa cushion set
Interior styling kit
Vacuum cleaner
Headlight garnish with dark chrome
Body side moulding with dark chrome
Side skirt with dark chrome
Front bumper extender with dark chrome
Rear skid plate with dark chrome
Boot mat
Boot sill guard

Powering the Grand Vitara are two engine options - a 1.5L strong hybrid which is sourced from Toyota and a 1.5L in-house mild-hybrid petrol motor. The former pumps out a peak power and torque of 114 bhp and 122 Nm, respectively. This engine is a three-pot motor and gets mated to an e-CVT unit.

The mild-hybrid motor is the same as the XL6. The four-cylinder motor generates as much as 102 bhp of power with a peak torque of 136.8 Nm. It gets mated to a five-speed stick shift gearbox and a six-speed torque converter automatic as an option. The 1.5L motor gets a front-wheel drive set-up as standard and an all-wheel drive as an option. The latter only gets a 5-speed MT though.
