2022 Mercedes EQS Electric SUV - Design & Features
The EQS electric SUV is based on the EVA platform which is also used internationally on the EQS hatchback. This platform has been redesigned and shaped in a way to accommodate a 7-seating capacity inside the cabin.
Looking at the front, the wide aerodynamic grille embeds stretched out all-LED headlights and accordingly shaped front bumper which gets aero damping as well. The side profile embraces the simple and crisp beautiful body lines which stretch out from the front fender to the rear C-section of the car. Relatively simple to look at from the side section, the distinguishing part remains the 20-inch alloy wheel design which helps the car to stand apart in the crowd.
At the rear, the Mercedes has used futuristic styling elements as seen over the EQS hatchback; the large and stretched-out LED tail lights are connected via an LED light bar running all over the boot. The coupe-like roof design and the rear windshield give the EQS a more mature and less aggressive outlook. The subtle use of chrome highlights is visible all around the car.
The feature list in this all-electric SUV is quite interesting. Tech on offers such as the world's first 56-inch hyper touch screen panel that enables every function of the dashboard via a touch; are more unique and appealing. Other creature comforts include the Dolby Atmos sound system, HEPA cabin air-purifier, and even a fragrance dispenser.
While the other features include the panoramic moonroof, touch-operated rear infotainment panels, multiple zone climate control, and leather treatment all inside the cabin with faux-wood touch, and the presence of a third row makes it the first-ever electric SUV from Mercedes as well.
