Hyundai has updated its Alcazar SUV in India. The 2023 Hyundai Alcazar SUV now gets a new 1.5-lt turbo-petrol engine. Additionally, Hyundai has also added new features to it. 2023 Hyundai Alcazar SUV - Details
The new changes have refreshed the Alcazar. First of all, it now gets a powerful 1.5-lt turbo-petrol option. This engine is also shared with Hyundai's global lineup. This new engine makes 158 bhp of peak power & 253 Nm of peak torque. Additionally, Hyundai offers a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox on it. Moreover, the design has also been refreshed. It now gets a new revised front grille design. Also, the puddle lamp logo design has also undergone a change.
Meanwhile, Hyundai has also provided new features on the updated SUV. It now gets 6 airbags as standard. These include - driver, passenger, side, & curtain airbags. Additionally, an engine idle start/stop function has also been introduced. Hyundai also offers this feature on its updated Venue. In addition to this, the new 1.5-lt petrol engine is also RDE norm compliant. However, the option of a diesel engine is still available. Hyundai offers Alcazar in six-seat and seven-seat layout options.
Verdict
Ever since its launch, Alcazar has not been a huge success like its sibling Creta. Additionally, XUV 700 has been a strong rival that offers better value for money as per some customers. However, the glitches on it have led to Alcazar sales consistently. Hence, the new updated model is here. The bookings for it are open for an amount of Rs 25,000.
