Indias one of the most favorite sedans has revised its pricing. Hyundai Verna is now retailing at a higher price tag than the one it had on its launch. But nothing to worry about as the quantum is not going to cause any trouble to your budget. The new-gen Verna debut in the Indian market was registered in March 2023, and since then, while it evoked mixed emotions, the bookings are still on the rise.
Lets look at the ambit of this fresh hike and how it wont impact you much.
Hyundai Verna June 2023 Latest Price
While the Verna moves on from its launch price, it just gets a hike of Rs. 6.600, which is well under the limits to not disturb your estimates. Let's look at the old Vs. new price list.

What's noteworthy is that only the EX Manual variant gets the price hike and that's about it. All other variants continue with their launch retail tags. Verna's normal petrol now starts at Rs. 10,96,500 and goes up to Rs. 16,19,500. This engine puts out a maximum power of 115PS and a peak torque of 144Nm.

Since the changes happen only in the EX manual of normal petrol, the turbo petrol units, like the normal ones, retail at their current price tags. Going for a turbo mill will set you back by at least Rs. 14,83,500 to top out at Rs. 17,37,900 ex-showroom. The more powerful engine mill is good for 160 PS power with a peak torque of 253 Nm.
VERDICT
Hyundai Verna has always been one of the top two-selling mid-size sedans in India. The price hike, however, is not significant considering that the sedan already costs around 11 lakh rupees ex-showroom. It directly competes with the likes of Honda City, Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and the Maruti Ciaz.
