Under its hood, Mahindra shall use the 2.2-lt m-Hawk diesel engine. This engine makes 120 bhp of peak power in 'Power' mode & 94 bhp in 'Economy'. Meanwhile, a 6-speed manual transmission is what will be on offer. No automatic option for the buyers on this one. Apart from this, Mahindra is also readying a 7-seater version and an ambulance based on the Bolero Neo. Both of these models, including the 9-seater, were homologated last year.

Verdict

As the test mule was seen as production-ready, we suspect that its launch isn't far away. However, it will be interesting that how Mahindra will place it in its lineup. The current lineup includes the Scorpio Classic which offers more for less price. Hence, the market share of Bolero Neo Plus will be aimed at commercial fleet owners. Its expected price is Rs 10-13 lakh and the launch might take place in the coming weeks.
