Tata has executed a substantial overhaul of the Harrier, bringing significant changes to its aesthetics. Noteworthy alterations include a thoroughly redesigned front fascia with sleek LED daytime running lights connected by an LED light bar and more slender tail lamp clusters.
It now incorporates an array of new features, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with Adaptive Cruise Control, an extensive safety package equipped with seven airbags, a state-of-the-art gear knob named 'Smart E-Shifter,' paddle shifters, and dual-zone automatic climate control with a touch-based control panel. The updated model also introduces a new steering wheel featuring an illuminated logo, a spacious 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with a Navigational Display, and an impressive 10-speaker JBL audio system.
Powertrain
Powering the updated Harrier is a BS6 Phase 2-compliant 2.0-litre diesel engine, delivering a robust performance of 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. The transmission options include a six-speed manual and a six-speed torque converter. The claimed fuel efficiency stands at 16.8kmpl for the manual variant and 14.6kmpl for the automatic variant.
