2024 KIA Sonet Facelift
The recently spotted test mule was covered both at the front and back and was coated in an Aurora Black paint finish. The impending facelift will introduce a refreshed front profile featuring new LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and headlights. Furthermore, we can anticipate modifications to the front grille. On the sides, there might be slight alterations to the alloy wheels, or the top-tier variants may receive a new alloy wheel design. Towards the rear, it will sport a novel tail lamp arrangement resembling the design found in the new Seltos, and we'll also witness the integration of a connected tail lamp setup. Design updates are also expected for both the front and rear bumpers.
In the interior, the facelift will receive fresh seat upholstery and a new color scheme. Additionally, we can expect a significant makeover, which encompasses a revamped instrument console, an upgraded infotainment screen, the introduction of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a 360-degree camera, a dashboard camera, and updated seat upholstery. While features such as an electric sunroof, ventilated seats, wireless charging, and wireless connectivity will remain consistent in the facelift.

2024 KIA Seltos Engine Options
The Sonet presently offers a choice of three different engines: a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine, and a 1.5-liter diesel motor. Depending on the engine selected, there are various transmission options available, including manual, automatic, and a DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission) gearbox.
Verdict
The upcoming KIA Sonet is poised to bring about a substantial upgrade compared to the current generation. In the sub-4 meter SUV segment, there have been recent updates, such as the Tata Nexon receiving a facelift and the Hyundai Venue incorporating an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite. In light of these advancements by its competitors, the Sonet is starting to show signs of aging and may need a refresh to stay competitive.
