- Mahindra XUV300 Facelift spotted testing
- Gets new front and rear facia
- Hints at new features and interior theme
As far as the auto world is concerned, there are quite a few events happening all at once. While the anticipation for the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 bike is on the rise, Mahindra, TATA, Hyundai, and more manufacturers are testing multiple new cars in a highly competitive segment. With that said, the Mahindra XUV300 has been spotted once again, and the interior is all set for an upgrade.
Let's jump into what new findings await you and what can you expect from this SUV.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift: Major Updates In Sight
Mahindra is preparing to launch the facelifted XUV300 in early 2024, despite the current model's strong sales performance. The updated sub-4m SUV will feature a fresh design, borrowing elements from the XUV700 and the premium electric BE range. Recent test mules reveal exterior changes, including a redesigned front with massive LED DRLs, a split front grille, a new bumper, and vertically-arranged projector headlamps. The rear gets a new boot lid, relocated number plate housing, and updated tail lamps with a connected LED bar. A roof-mounted unit might be a radar module for the ADAS suite.

Interiors: Felt Dated But Not Anymore!
Mahindra put a lot of tech and features into this SUV, but missed out on some basic amenities. While it was the only SUV in the segment with steering modes, where you could adjust the feedback from light to heavy, it skipped some very obvious add-ons like a rear AC vent. Plus, as of current times, the dash layout has started to feel a bit dated.
But things are about to change for the better. The spy shots on multiple occasions dropped hints of a bigger touchscreen and a few more elements. The sub-4m SUV segment is embracing digital driver's displays, and Mahindra is likely to offer one in the XUV300 facelift. Additionally, features like dual-zone climate control, a multi-function steering wheel, power windows, a 360-degree camera, a wireless phone charger, and more are expected in the final specifications. There are even rumors of a panoramic sunroof making its way into the vehicle, which if incorporated will be a segment first.
2024 Mahindra XUV300 Facelift: Engine
The upcoming Mahindra XUV300 facelift will likely retain the same powertrain options as the current generation. This includes a 1.2L turbo petrol engine available in two states of tune, offering 110 hp and 200 Nm of torque and a more powerful version with 130 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Additionally, there's a 1.5L diesel engine with 117 hp and 300 Nm of torque. Transmission choices are expected to include 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT options, and there are rumors of a 6-speed Aisin-sourced torque converter as well.
With no new launches set for 2023, the XUV300 facelift could hit showrooms in early 2024. It will continue to rival the likes of Maruti Brezza, Nexon, and the Kia Sonet.
Verdict
The upcoming XUV300 facelift promises significant upgardes. Even in its current form, it keeps on selling in good numbers owing to the performing engine and the ride comfort. Meanwhile, as the segment is now witnessing a gradual shift towards advancements, the XUV300 is embracing the change well after being a little late to the party.
