Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the new-gen Swift in India on 9 May. The new Swift will boast a tweaked design, an updated interior with new features, and a new engine. 2024 Maruti Swift Base Variant
The upcoming Swift will boast new design updates which will include an updated grille, a new LED DRL, a new LED headlamp, refreshed front with a new bonnet design and bumper design. The recently spotted base model was fitted with steel wheels, black ORVM, and door handles, a blacked-out front grille, a closed fog lamp assembly, a fender-mounted side indicator, and a new headlamp design. It seems that the base model will also get the DRLs. It will also get a projector headlamp starting from the base variant.
At the rear, it will get an LED tail lamp and body-colored bumper with rear parking sensors.
The interior of the base model was not visible but we can anticipate a decent number of features such as all-4 power windows, manual climate control, power steering, and a small MID in the instrument panel among other features.
However, the top-spec model will be equipped with features like a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, auto-dimming IRVM, electrical folding, and adjustable mirrors, among other features.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift Engine Specifications
The new Swift will feature an all-new engine which will be the biggest update in the new model. It will feature a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Z-Series engine. This engine will be available with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Also, this engine will offer better fuel economy as compared to the K-Series engine and according to a leaked document, it will give a mileage of 25.72 kmpl.
Verdict
The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Swift will be a big update over the current generation. The new engine will be more fuel efficient which will make the Swift more competitive in the segment. The upcoming Swift will continue to compete with the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS, Tata Tiago and other hatchbacks in India.
