2024 Tata Nexon SUV has been spied on once again. This time the new-gen model is spied testing in the Himalayas at high altitudes.

The fact that Tata is testing a new Nexon are not been hidden anymore. The upcoming SUV has been spied on already a few times now. But, this time the 2024 Tata Nexon SUV is seen testing at high altitudes in the Himalayas. The new spy photos have revealed the car from a closer distance. Read more details about it below.

2024 Tata Nexon SUV - Details
As seen in the photos, the test car is parked roadside somewhere in the Himalayas. The camouflaged test mule has a revised design overall. The front gets a Curvv-inspired design. If you remember, the Curvv concept was showcased at the Indian Auto Expo. The audience loved it and hence Tata seems to have carried forward selected bits from its design. Meanwhile, the headlights, front grille, & bumper are redesigned as well. It looks like a new DRL strip runs through the fascia of the new Nexon.
Additionally, the rear end has also undergone similar changes. For example, the taillights look redesigned and might be stretched a bit on the boot lid. Moreover, the boot lid is also redone in terms of curves and creases. However, the roofline design & the side profile remain unchanged largely. But it seems that the new Nexon will get a new alloy wheel design. On the inside, we're expecting a few cosmetic changes & new feature additions. A bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen and 6 airbags as standard might make their way on it. Additionally, the instrument console might also get a new bigger screen & graphics. Tata might also fit new features like HUD on the new Nexon but it can not be confirmed currently.
Changes In Powertrain
It is rumored that Tata will revise the current 1.2-lt petrol engine. A current engine is a turbo unit but a new TGDi engine is under development. This engine will be of the same capacity but it will produce more power. Rumors are that it will make a peak power of up to 125 PS. Additionally, Tata might replace the AMT gearbox option with a wet DCT as seen on Altroz. This will help resolve the AMT-related issues as well as bump up the performance of the SUV. Meanwhile, the 1.5-lt turbo-diesel & the EV versions will continue to be offered unchanged; as expected.
Verdict
The Nexon SUV has proved to be a game-changer for Tata. It also happens to be one of the best-selling SUVs in its segment. However, rivals like Maruti Brezza & Hyundai Venue have updated themselves recently. Hence, an updated Nexon will prove beneficial for Tata. We're anticipating that the new Nexon will get launched by early 2024. Also, its pricing will spike due to new changes & added features.
