Toyota Camry (XV80)
This ninth-generation model has been available in the United States and European countries since early 2023, and India will receive it in just two days. The Camry is known for its hybrid powertrain and exceptional fuel economy, and the new model will continue that tradition with a 2.5L petrol engine paired with a mild-hybrid system.
It produces 178 hp and 221 Nm of torque, with power sent to the front wheels via a CVT gearbox. The outgoing model had an ARAI mileage of 19.1 kmpl, and it's likely that the new one will offer similar fuel efficiency figures.
Toyota Camry (XV80) Design
The new Camry will have a sleeker and more athletic design compared to the outgoing model, following several international design trends such as a large honeycomb grille, C-shaped LED DRLs, sleek headlights, and a dual-tone paint finish. With just one look, it's easy to tell that this is a refreshed Camry, as the core exterior design language remains the same.

Price
The expected price of the new Camry is Rs 45 to 48 lakh, considering its size and technology, and it will compete with the Skoda Superb.

Verdict
The Toyota Camry is the only full-size sedan that has been selling in the country for more than 20 years, while its competitors like the Honda Accord, Skoda Superb, and Hyundai Sonata have failed to capture the audience's heart. Except for the Superb, every other rival is out of India and shows no sign of returning. The reason the Camry is still relevant is due to the Toyota badge, which holds greater brand value than any of its rivals.
