KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Upcoming Grand Vitara facelift or generational update spotted.
- Design language is similar to globally unvield e Vitara.
- Maruti might launch this in the middle of next year.
A new Maruti Suzuki SUV has been spotted fully camouflaged, and this one is an ICE vehicle, as the exhaust is clearly visible. Based on its design language and considering the current lineup, I believe this could be the facelift of the Grand Vitara. From the images, it seems to be an ICE version of the e-Vitara, which was recently unveiled globally. Let's take a closer look at the images. Upcoming Maruti SUV
The video shows that the front end is quite similar to the e-Vitara, featuring chunkier LED headlights and a bold design. From the sides, it's different. In the e-Vitara, Maruti Suzuki places the rear door handle on the C-pillar, like we've seen in the 3rd-gen Swift and other cars. However, in this SUV, the door handles are placed on the door, like in most other vehicles. Additionally, there is a third glass panel, which gives it an extended appearance. The alloy wheel design is also new, although it's not clearly visible at the moment, so I can't comment further.
More Exterior Details
Through the windows, the interior is teased, and a larger infotainment touchscreen is visible, possibly ranging from 10 to 12 inches. Now, let's move on to the rear profile, which appears to be wider than both the e-Vitara and the current Grand Vitara. One thing is for sure: it will feature the popular connected LED taillights, as the straight-line strip below the glass panel forms the shape, even under the thick black tape.
So, this Maruti SUV is first time teased, but given the global unviel of their first electric SUV, it's like finding needle in the haystack to guess which car is this, because the first thought appearing in the mind is e Vitara or the e VX.
Expected new features could include ADAS, AllGrip, powered front seats, and a fully digital instrument cluster. The engine is likely to remain the same, with the naturally aspirated 1.5L petrol and 1.5L Smart Hybrid options. Let's wait for more details and upcoming news on this vehicle.

Verdict
One of the best-selling products from Maruti, which recently achieved 2.5 lakh unit sales in just 2 years, making it the second-best seller after the Creta in the mid-size compact SUV segment. It was launched in 2022, and now its facelift is being tested. Additionally, it will definitely come with all the latest features that were missing in the earlier model.
