Bajaj has launched its most powerful Pulsar in India. The new Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z has debuted at a price of Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z: Price and Colour Options

The launch price of the Pulsar NS400Z is Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). This is a limited-time period offer for the initial customers. The new Pulsar is available in a single variant. Bajaj is offering the Pulsar NS400Z in four colour shades: Brooklyn Black, Pewter Grey, Metallic Pearl White, and Glossy Racing Red. The bookings are open at Rs 5,000 and the deliveries will start in mid-June.

As we saw in the leaked photos of the bike before launch, the design is similar. It gets a unique LED projector headlight with big yet aggressive DRLs. The chunky 43m USD suspension gives it a butch look. The side profile is largely enticed by the big fuel tank and extended tank shrouds.

Bajaj is offering a split seat setup on the bike. The rear design looks like an evolved version of the Pulsar NS 200. Feature-wise, it gets all LED lights, a DOT-matrix digital console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and four ride modes: Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-Road. It also gets a lap timer and music controls.

The new Pulsar NS400Z also gets switchable ABS, traction modes, and ride-by-wire throttle technology for crisp performance. It also gets hazard lights, a first for the Pulsar lineup.

Engine, Hardware, Performance Details

Based on a perimeter frame, the new Pulsar uses the 373cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine sourced from the Dominar 400. This engine develops a peak power of 39.4 bhp and 35 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated with a 6-speed transmission and a slipper clutch. Bajaj claims a top speed of 154 kmph making it the fastest Pulsar ever. It also gets 5-step adjustable levers.

Bajaj has equipped it with a 43mm USD front suspension and a preload adjustable rear monoshock suspension. It rides on a 110/70 front and a 140/70 rear 17-inch alloy wheels combo with tubeless tyres. The braking system includes a 320mm disc rotor at the front and a 230mm disc rotor at the rear. It gets dual-channel ABS as standard.

The rivals of the Pulsar NS400Z are the Triumph Speed 400, KTM 390 Duke, Apache RTR 310, and BMW G 310 R.
