Tata Harrier EV Test Mule Without Camo: Looks Impressive!

With a closer look at the Auto Expo 2025, the Tata Harrier EV sure mesmerised the visitors with its looks and the overall big car feel. Fast forward to today, the test mule of the production-spec model has been spied testing shedding any kind of wrap for the first time ever. And the first look definitely screams classy. The design theme is in line with the Harrier ICE model, but with a closed-off front grille and the lower bumper design imparts that futuristic and sleek look, that exudes sophistication.

This latest sighting had a bit of interior sneak peek where a big infotainment unit can be noticed, which is likely the one you find on the ICE model, along with an illuminated steering wheel and the overall dashboard layout. Battery And Range

Tata Harrier EV SUV is constructed upon their evolved Acti.ev+ architecture. This platform allows for a dual-motor configuration, enabling an all-wheel-drive system. While precise performance figures are still forthcoming, for the higher trims, the Harrier EV will be available with a dual motor set-up with an AWD functionality to tackle the roads less traveled, however, the lower variants will be available with a single motor set-up. Tata has indicated that drivers can anticipate a range of roughly 500 kilometers on a full battery.
With an anticipated starting price of Rs. 30 lakhs ex-showroom, the Harrier EV will lock horns with the likes of Mahindra XEV 9e, BYD Atto 3, and others in the class. As for its launch, expect it soon in the coming months, given the debut at Auto Expo and the naked test mule sightings.
Verdict
Tata has emerged one of the key players in the mass market EV four wheeler in the country. All thanks to its ICE, CNG, and EV strategy that makes almost all the models available in all the three guise. Talking about the Harrier EV, it sure nails the looks and the build quality part. It remains to be seen how the brand optimises the battery and motor set-up, that strike the baalance between off-road tackling and the range anxiety. There are rumours of an even bigger battery pack that could offer 600 km of range, but that is still something that needs more clarity.
