The BYD ATTO 3 has a long list of features and can go 521 kilometres on a single charge. The car has a stunning design and a superb aesthetic appeal. But along with its many benefits, this new EV on the Indian market also has certain downsides. Here in this article we'll look at the pros and cons of the BYD ATTO 3 electric SUV.
Pros
Battery Specifications
The BYD ATTO 3 offers the Born EV platform and the extremely secure Blade Battery. The BYD ATTO 3 has a larger battery capacity of 60.48kWh, which, in ARAI tests, allows it to travel 521 km. This battery pack has a power output of 201 bhp and a max torque of 310 Nm. The electric SUV also promises a 7.3-second 0100 km/h acceleration rate and rapid charging from 0% to 80% in 50 minutes.
Features
The ATTO 3 comes with a tonne of features from BYD. The electric SUV has a large panoramic sunroof, an adjustable rotating screen measuring 12.8 inches (32.5 cm), and an NFC card key. The BYD-ATTO 3 also has features like voice control, an 8-speaker audio system, electric seat adjustment, wireless charging for smartphones, a one-touch electric tailgate, a multi-color gradient ambient lighting system that changes colours in time with the music, a PM 2.5 air filter, a CN95 air filter, etc.

Safety
The ATTO 3 includes a lot of safety elements in addition to the convenience features. It has level 2 BYD Dipilot Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) and seven airbags. Numerous airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring, a high-speed alert system, front seatbelt reminders, hill hold control, hill descent control, and more are additional safety features. Additionally, it received a 5-star rating from EURO NCAP for safety.
Spacious Interior
The interior of the SUV is roomy, and it can comfortably fit 5 passengers. The middle seat passenger in the back will feel more comfortable thanks to the flat floor in the back. Additionally, the cabin feels airy thanks to the panoramic sunroof.
Cons
High Pricing
The BYD ATTO 3 is a bit expensive. The pricing of the electric SUV is Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom), which is more expensive when compared to similar-sized vehicles from other brands.
Brand Identity
The majority of people in India are still unaware of Build Your Dream (BYD), a new brand. The BYD brand name may also encounter some sort of backlash because it is a Chinese brand.
Sales & Service Network
BYD is currently establishing its nationwide sales and service network. It is still uncertain how well the brand's sales and after-sales systems work.
Verdict: Potential customers can become turned off by the BYD ATTO 4 electric's price tag. The ATTO 3's price could have been a little low given that the Hyundai Kona, MG ZS EV, and Tata Nexon EV are all available for less than Rs 30 lakh.
