In India, Build Your Dreams (BYD) unveiled the Atto 3, its second electric car. The BYD Atto 3 uses Blade Battery technology and has an ARAI-certified range of 521 kilometers. The electric SUV is now available for bookings, and interested consumers can do so by paying Rs. 50,000. Beginning in January 2023, the first 500 units will begin to be delivered. The price of the electric SUV will be announced in coming months. It will be brought to India as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) vehicle. All BYD dealerships currently have the vehicle on display.
There are four colour choices for the Atto 3: Boulder Grey, Parkour Red, Ski White, and Surf Blue. In the Indian market, the BYD Atto 3 will face off against the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona EV.
BYD Atto 3 Specifications
The BYD Atto 3 comes with a 60.48 kWh BYD Blade Battery. The permanent magnet synchronous motor gives a power of 201 bhp (150 kW) of power and 310 Nm of peak torque. The battery takes 50 minutes to charge from 0-80% with the help of a DC charger and 9.5 to 10 hours to charge from an AC charger. The Atto 3 can also be charged via the Type 2 and 3-pin AC chargers too. Performance-wise, a 0 to 100kmph sprint is achieved in just 7.3 seconds.
BYD Atto 3 Design, Dimensions & Features
The BYD Atto 3 has dimensions of 4,455 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width, 1,615 mm in height, and 2,720 mm in wheelbase. The Atto 3 has a longer wheelbase than its top competitors, the ZS EV and Kona EV. It embodies the trademark BYD flare in its design. For improved aerodynamics, the front fascia has a tiny grille and a broad air dam. With multi-spoke and diamond-cut alloy wheels, the same sharp body line is visible in the side profile and continues to the rear. The back is likewise understated and basic. An LED light bar that crosses the boot lid can be seen in the rear profile.
A panoramic sunroof, an electronic unlock tailgate, one-touch opening and closing of the tailgate, and electrically heated, adjustable, and retractable ORVMs are among the features. Interior features include a 5-inch digital instrument panel, controls positioned on the steering wheel, synthetic leather seats, a driver seat with 6-way power adjustments, and a front passenger seat with 4-way power adjust. Wireless charging, keyless entry and start, front and rear USB-A ports, automatic climate control, PM 2.5 air filter, portable card key, and all four one-touch up and down power windows, USB-C port, USB-A port at front and rear are among the convenience features.

It has a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and 8 speakers for entertainment.

BYD Atto 3 Bookings & Warranty Details
The bookings of the Atto 3 will start from today and deliveries will begin from January 2023. As a promotional package the brand is offering 7kW home charger, installation of home charger, 3kW portable charging box, 3 years free subscription of 4G data, 6 years of road side assistance and 6 times of free maintenance.

BYD is offering warranties of 8 years and 1.6 lakh kilometres for the traction motor, 8 years and 1.5 lakh kilometres for the motor and the motor controller, and 6 years and 1.5 lakh kilometres for the DC-DC assembly, high voltage electric control assembly, and OBC. 6 years and 1.5 lakh kilometres of warranty are available for all other components of the entire vehicle.
