BYD eMax 7 Features
On the feature front, the BYD eMax 7 will be a completely upgraded package over its predecessor. It will feature a new dashboard, housing a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The electric will offer features such as wireless smartphone connectivity, 360-degree surround camera, powered tailgate, wireless charger, panoramic sunroof, leatherette seats and that too with a ventilation system. The E-MPV will also be available in a 6-seat layout with captain seats for the second row.
BYD eMax 7 Design Language
While the overall silhouette remains the same as the current-gen model, the eMax 7 gets a more simple and mature design. It features a refreshed front profile, a single-slat chrome-finished grille, sleeker LED headlamps, and angular air ducts. Also, there is an upgraded bumper. Additionally, the eMax 7 has a new set of alloy wheels and connected LED tail lamps. Both second and third rows will have roof-mounted AC vents, three-point seat belts, cup holders and adjustable headrests, making it one of the most comfortable and practical offerings in the segment.
BYD eMax 7 Powertrain
Details about the powertrain are scarce and will be confirmed tomorrow at the launch event. For context, eMax 7's predecessor was equipped with a 71.7 kWh battery pack, mated to a single electric motor, producing 94 bhp of power and 180 Nm of torque. There are possibilities that BYD will improvise on these powertrain specs to align it with the international spec BYD M6. It makes 201 bhp and 310 Nm of torque which will be undoubtedly a great improvement over the outgoing model.
