BYD Sealion 7: Things To Know
The Sealion 7 is going to be among the few electric coupe-SUVs to be shown at the 2025 Auto Expo. Its positioning in the market remains unknown for now, but it could well be going up against the Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and also the Volvo EX40 Recharge.
Like most cars in BYD's global lineup, the Sealion 7 also gets the Ocean Series design language. Its nose will resemble some other cars in BYD's global lineup, but the bumper has been designed more aggressively, and the overall car gets a broad, muscular stance. The headlights are sleek and angular, with a design similar to what we have seen on the Seal.

The profile of the car remains smooth and free of any unnecessary drama, while the tailgate has also been uniquely designed and features a full-length LED strip resembling the unit on the Seal.
Globally, the Sealion 7 gets two battery pack options; a 91.3kWh unit with a claimed range of 502km on a single charge, and an 82.5kWh unit with a claimed range of 482km on the rear-wheel drive variant, and 456km on the all-wheel drive variant. The Sealion 7 will get 11kW AC charging as standard, and there will also be DC fast charging options as well.
