The C3 Aircross, a new SUV from Citroen, has finally been revealed in India. The new SUV is built on the same CMP platform as the C3 hatchback, the SUV has a similar visual aesthetics as well. Citroen aims to gain traction in the mid-size SUV segment with the C3 Aircross. A 7-seater and a 5-seater version of the new C3 Aircross will be offered. The C3 Aircross has several market-leading features, including the longest wheelbase in the segment. The C3 Aircross SUV will be launched later this year.

Citroen C3 Aircross Design
The new Citroen SUV's front look is similar to that of its smaller sibling C3 hatchback. The front grille is painted gloss black and features the signature Citroen chrome lining with dual LED DRLs. The lower part of the front profile gets air dams, fog lamps in the lower portion of the grille, and silver skid plates on the bumper. The SUV's side features include roof rails, blacked-out ORVMs, pentagonal shaped diamond-cut alloy wheels, and blacked-out pillars. At the back of the car has LED taillamps that extend to the sides of the car.
In terms of size, the SUV is the largest wheelbase in the segment with a 2,671 mm wheelbase, measuring 4.3 metres in length. The SUV also features a 511-liter trunk. The C3 Aircross's one unique selling point is its third-row seats, which can be removed at home to make more room for luggage if a buyer purchases the 7-seater model.

A digital instrument cluster and roof mounted air con vents for second row is one of the interior's standout features. Other dashboard elements are shared with the C3 hatchback. It has the same 10.15-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as the same air conditioning vents and control knobs. The SUV has a wide range of features, including 5 fast charging points for smartphones.
On the safety front, it gets rear view camera, EBD, ESP, day/night IRVM, high speed alert, seat belt warning system among other features.

Citroen C3 Aircross Engine
The C3 Aircross will use the same 1.2-liter Puretech 82 engine found in the C3 hatchback. This engine generates 82 PS of power and 115 Nm of maximum torque. The three-row model, on the other hand, will be equipped with a 1.2-liter Puretech 110 turbo-petrol engine that has a maximum torque of 190 NM and 110 PS. While the Puretech 82 model will have a 5-speed manual gearbox, this engine will be offered with a 6-speed manual.
Citreon C3 Aircross - Price & Rivals
For the 5-seater version, the starting price of Citroen's new SUV is anticipated to fall between 8 and 9 lakh. The SUV will go up against mid-size SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, and others. The price range for the 7-seater version might start at Rs 910 lakh. The launch of the SUV will happen later this year.
