Carens EV: Details

Carens EV

Having a look at the spy shot, I can say that the overall silhouette of the E-MPV remains similar to its ICE version. The Carens EV will feature a new set of alloy wheels. We can expect some major design changes in the front as it will be based on the facelifted version of the MPV. There are possibilities that the Creta EV and Carens EV will utilize the same suspension and battery pack.

Kia Motors could offer a six-seater and seven-seater version of the Carens EV. The E-MPV is expected to offer a similar set of features available to the Carens ICE model. These include dual 10.25-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof and a 360-degree camera. Additionally, the Carens EV will be equipped with an ADAS suite.

Hyundai Creta EV: All We Know

Creta EV and Carens EV

Spotted multiple times before as well, it is now clear that the Creta EV will have a similar design language as its ICE counterpart. Simultaneously, the automaker is also working hard to provide the EV with a distinct identity with elements such as new alloy wheels which help increase the overall performance of the vehicle. Other new design elements will include a new EV-specific grille and exclusive EV badging on the front.

Some previous spy shots made it clear that the Creta EV will feature a three-spoke circular steering wheel. To differentiate the Creta EV from its ICE counterpart, we can expect some new interior theme options and a wider range of ambient lighting.

Hyundai Creta Powertrain

The Hyundai Creta EV will come powered by a 45 kWh battery pack mated to an electric motor, capable of making 138 bhp. With this setup, it is expected to offer a driving range of 350 km (real-world) on a single charge. The Carens EV is also expected to get the same powertrain that will be on offer with the Creta EV.
