Maruti eVX Electric SUV
The test mule of the eVX SUV is caught at a charging station in Krakow, Poland. Wrapped up in a pitch-black camo, the details are kept at bay from the camera lenses, however, there are still some key takeaways.
Although no finer details can be inferred, the silhouette does look butch, but a little toned-down version of the concept. But it still looks robust with chunky cladding, solid bonnet lines, and creases. While the lights are all temporary, they will feature LED headlamps and tail lamps with a possible LED bar running between both tail lamps.

The sloping roofline at the rear provides a much more sporty feel to the SUV. We notice a rear wiper with a spoiler and a potential LED connecting bar. The alloy wheels are standard and can be a little different than those on the production-ready model. Why do we say so? Interior has the answers.
Interiors
The images of the cabin show a lot of exposed wiring and hit at an early stage of testing. The steering wheel, however, is a 2-spoked unit with a flat bottom. The passenger seat displays electronic adjustments as well. Vertical ac vents, and single pane dual display set-up, one for the instrument cluster and the other for the infotainment screen. But since this looks like an early test unit, expect some changes moving forward.
Features
As clear from the spy shots, it will be a feature-loaded proposition. Power adjustable front seats, a 2-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, a center console with a knob, and a big display unit that houses the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment unit. These are just the takeaways from the test mule shots and could change in the production-ready model.
VERDICT- Maruti Suzuki will be looking at a timely launch of their first-ever born electric SUV, the eVX. With the electric versions of the Hyundai Creta and the Mahindra XUV700 spotted while testing, expect more such EVs to enter the market soon to capitalize on the opportunity.
