Jeep And Citroen Cars To Get Dearer From April 30
Effective April 30th, 2024, Stellantis India is raising prices across all Citroen models and the Jeep Compass and Meridian. The increase is a modest 0.5%, translating to price hikes between Rs. 4,000 and Rs. 17,000 for various models. According to Stellantis, the price hike is a result of rising inflation and escalating operational costs. Notably, this would be the second time Stellantis has hiked the prices of these models this year.
Currently, Citroen offers 4 models namely the C3, C3 Aircross, eC3 hatchback, and the C5 Aircross. All these models are getting a price hike whereas the Jeep Meridian and the Jeep Compass are the models affected from the Jeep's corner.
Upcoming Models
Expanding the Citroen cars portfolio is the soon-to-launch Citroen Basalt, a Coupe SUV that will open a whole new segment in the country. While we have seen this body frame on the premium and more expensive side, the affordable segment will have its first encounter. With a muscular sculpted bonnet and front, the rear takes center stage with a sharply sloping roofline towards the trunk-lid for a Coupe SUV stance. While it will share some components and powertrain with the C3 Aircross, it will be better equipped in terms of features.
