Hero Xtreme 250R: Design
The Hero Xtreme 250R looks like a proper naked motorcycle. It features an angular LED headlamp and DRLs. The fuel tank exhibits a fuller look and the installed extension over it goes well with the entire design language. The tail section is very sharp and looks very nice. The motorcycle will be available in dual-tone colour schemes, one of which has been already showcased- White and Red. I would say that the overall design suits Xtreme's characteristics.
Hero Xtreme 250R Hardware
As for the hardware, the Xtreme 250R is based on the steel trellis frame. The frame is suspended by 43mm USD front forks and a pre-load mono-shock suspension at the rear. The Xtreme 250R rides on 17-inch wheels and the tyres are wide enough as well. For braking duties, the motorcycle gets disc brakes at both ends, with ABS modes.
Hero Xtreme 250R Features
On the feature front, the Hero Xtreme 250R will get an advanced digital instrument cluster. The cluster on offer will also have a lap timer as standard. Other features of the naked machine are still unknown and will be announced during the launch. The Xtreme 250R is expected to be officially launched in the Q2 of 2025.
Power and Engine
The Xtreme 250R sources its power from a new 250cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The powerhouse on offer is capable of producing 30 bhp of power and 25 Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The brand has tuned the engine well to achieve higher power figures.
Hero Xtreme 250R: Expected Price and Rivals
Hero Moto Corp is expected to price the new Xtreme 250R somewhere between 1.90 lakh and 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will go against the Dominar 250, Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 and KTM 250 Duke.

Verdict
Hero's Xtreme 250R enters the competitive 250cc naked motorcycle segment with promising specs, bold design, and practical features. With a 30 bhp engine, dual-tone colors, and modern hardware, it could attract enthusiasts seeking style and performance on a budget. If Hero nails the pricing, this could be a worthy competitor to the established 250cc players.
