Original Article (March 15, 2021; 01:00) - Just a few days ago, Hyundai India released the first official teaser video for its upcoming all-new seven-seater SUV. This upcoming seven-seater SUV of Hyundai will be called the Hyundai Alcazar and it will make its global debut soon. Now, as per some media reports, the all-new Hyundai Alcazar might be showcased in India on April 6, 2021. Here are all the details about it.
Hyundai has already trademarked the Alcazar name in the country a couple of months ago. If you are wondering what does it mean, so the official press release of Hyundai reads that "The Hyundai ALCAZAR has been developed to personify reliability and indulgence while drawing its inspiration from the royal lineage of Castles and Palaces, denoting grandeur, spaciousness and solidity." The Alcazar will be basically a seven-seater version of Creta.

The new Hyundai Alcazar will share its platform and mechanicals with the Creta. However, it will get cosmetic changes and new features to distinguish itself from the Creta and also to highlight its premiumness. The Alcazar has already been spied on test in India (and abroad) several times and it will be around 30 mm longer and a tad taller than the Creta. The engine options will be again similar and so it will get three BS6 compliant engines. The motors will be a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.4-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. There will be various transmission options too.

Now, if we talk about the launch timeline, so as per the latest media reports, the new Hyundai Alcazar might be showcased in India on April 6, 2021.
