Hyundai Creta was the one to redefine the mid-size SUV segment where people were ready to adopt an SUV that omitted the third row. While it breathed a new life into what later became the hottest segment in the Indian car scene, it still enjoys an unmatched popularity. Taking the baton forward in the electric space, the Hyundai Creta EV is all set to debut at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025 on December 17 in a bid to possibly replicate its previous success. Let's look at everything you can expect from this latest electric mover, but before that, make sure you are a part of our 91Wheels Whatsapp Channel, specifically curated for all the avid petrolheads to never miss out on any automotive updates.

Hyundai Creta EV Launch Next Month
Hyundai is likely to keep the design of the Hyundai Creta EV familiar, drawing heavily from the standard ICE-powered Creta. However, expect a few design updates to set the electric version apart, including a new closed grille, revised bumpers, and refreshed alloy wheels, as you have already seen with some earlier ICE to EV iterations with other models. The Creta EV is also expected to come equipped with specially designed tyres tailored for electric vehicles. These tires are likely to enhance the vehicle's range and reduce noise, contributing to the quiet cabin experience that electric cars are known for.
Inside, the Creta EV will feature several unique elements, such as a three-spoke steering wheel, a drive selector near the steering column, and a redesigned center console with dual cup holders. Other additions will likely include controls for the electronic parking brake, cooled seats, auto-hold, ADAS, and a 360-degree camera. The interior will more or less be in-line with what you have seen with the Creta facelift, albeit with a little extra features than the ICE trims.

Range On A Single Charge
Hyundai is likely to offer two battery options: a 45 kWh pack that should deliver a range of up to 300 km, and a larger 55-60 kWh pack for a longer range of approximately 500 km. The Creta EV will be powered by the same electric motor used in the base variant of the Kona Electric, producing 138 hp and 255 Nm of torque. This setup is expected to provide an engaging driving experience, competing well with other players in the segment like the Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, and others.
