As depicted in the provided image, the upcoming Creta EV is poised to feature newly designed aerodynamic alloy wheels and a charging port integrated into the fascia, clearly indicated by the visible cut-out on the camouflage. There are also expectations of a redesigned, blanked-off grille. In terms of aesthetics and features, the electric SUV from Hyundai is anticipated to adopt cues from the recently introduced Creta facelift. If you remember, we have earlier caught the pre-facelift version with an eletric avatar testing on roads a few months back. The same is now replaced by the facelifted version.
Battery And Range: The Expected Specs
The Creta EV is set to feature a robust 45kWh battery pack supplied by LG Chem, distinguishing itself in terms of energy storage capacity. Although slightly smaller than competitors like the MG ZS EV (50.3kWh) and the upcoming Maruti eVX (48-60kWh), it surpasses the Nexon EV long-range's 40.5kWh unit. Projected to achieve a real-world range of approximately 250km on a single charge, the Creta EV positions itself as a capable and efficient electric vehicle.
Some sources indicated that the Creta EV will share its electric motor with the latest-generation entry-level Kona EV available internationally. This entails a single motor mounted on the front axle, generating around 138hp and delivering 255Nm of torque, promising a spirited and environmentally friendly driving experience for Hyundai's upcoming electric SUV in India.
